New Town’s Greentree Collection of Craftsman Styled Homes!

Easy Access to Shopping, Dining, Entertainment

Castlewood Ranch is nestled in the rolling countryside just southeast of the historic Town of Castle Rock in Douglas County, Colorado. In addition to the new homes in Castlewood Ranch, the nearby Town of Castle Rock, Colorado offers quaint downtown shops and many local retail centers such as Founders Marketplace – with King Soopers grocery and gas station, branch bank, dry cleaners, wine and spirits shop, sandwich shop and hair salon – provide a wealth of nearby conveniences for Castlewood Ranch residents. Just a short drive up Founders Parkway at the I-25 interchange, you’ll find The Outlets at Castle Rock, Milestone Crossing and numerous other service businesses, retailers and dining establishments.

In addition to easy access north on I-25 to metro Denver, Colorado light rail service, the Park Meadows Mall and south metro business parks such as the Denver Tech Center, Inverness and Meridian, those traveling south will enjoy a direct and scenic 30-minute drive to Colorado Springs.

Get Out and Have Fun!

Castlewood Ranch has nearly 159 acres of open space with nearly 3 miles of trails and walkways that meander throughout the community and surrounding natural areas. Along the way, you’ll be captivated by the native wildlife, dramatic red rock outcroppings, forested lands and stunning views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountain Range.

Matney Community Park is conveniently located on Lantern Circle just a short distance from the main “windmill” entrance.   This 10-acre park has a multi-use athletic field, large playground with multi-level play structures, concrete in-line court, picnic pavilions, horseshoe courts, turf play areas and paved bike paths, Matney Park provides recreation opportunities for the entire family.

The Town of Castle Rock Recreation Center, a 84,000 square foot facility, is just a short distance from Castlewood Ranch and is open to all community residents.  The Recreation Center  offers a multitude of recreational options including swimming, basketball, racquetball and wallyball, gymnasium with indoor track, weight and cardiovascular equipment, steam and sauna rooms, fitness programs and a wide variety of classes and special events for all ages.  They offer something for everyone.

Finally, Colorado’s famous  Black Forest is just east of Castlewood Ranch.  You’ll find the spectacular Castlewood Canyon State Park, where an arid and beautiful setting provides limitless opportunities for hiking, biking, rock climbing, bird watching, picnicking or just plain sightseeing.

Excellence in Education

Flagstone Elementary School is right in the neighborhood, in fact, it’s just across the street from the New Town Model Complex.  One of Douglas County’s newer elementary schools, Flagstone’s stated mission is to be “a safe, friendly, child-centered learning community focused on excellence and success for each student.”

Mesa Middle School opened in the fall of 2008, and is located  just to the north and west of Castlewood Ranch. This 22-acre school site includes a 134,000 square foot two-story building which accommodates 1,000 seventh and eighth graders plus an adjacent baseball field and football field with gravel track.

Your “upper classmen” will attend Douglas County High School, another top-notch learning environment in the acclaimed Douglas County School District. For information on these fine schools, please contact the Douglas County School District at 303-387-0100 or visit www.dcsdk12.org.
